Google Launches Voice Search For Apple Iphone
Saturday, November 29, 2008
The New York Times reported Friday that Google has released its own voice activated search for Iphone, downloadable for free through the Apple Itunes store. The application uses advanced speech recognition software which interprets the users vocal request, and passes it on to Googles search engine. The results can be displayed in as little as a few seconds, depending on the network speed.
Google is not the only search engine to offer voiced based mobile services. Both Yahoo, and MSN currently offer voice activated search services as well. AT&T is also developing a voice recognition system that would employ Google to complete the interpreted searches. This latest initiative is only a small portion of Googles wider exploration into speech recognition technology.
Many Android advocates questioned Googles decision to debut the new service on the Ipone rather than the T-Mobile G1. However, Googles motivation is obvious. While T-Mobile is expected to sell just under 1 million G1s by the end of this year, Apples sales of the Iphone will top out at over 11 million.

I9 iPhone - Why This Dual Sim, Shake and Tilt Quad Band is One of the Best
I have several blogs that discuss some of the features and specs of the dual sim, import iPhone clones. Recently, I've begun getting a lot of requests for information about the "i9 iPhone." The question refers to the CECT i9, which is a clone or knock off from the Chinese manufacturer who first introduced the extremely popular original iClone P168. This is actually an upgraded, newer model that improves upon that original. I'll explain how in this article.
Moving From Tri Band To Quad Band: The early clones were tri bands that worked on most GSM networks. This allowed coverage for most, but not all, consumers worldwide. Later, the P168+ Plus came out that added the last 850 MHZ band, making for a quad band. The i9 is an upgrade of this model, so it covers nearly all GSM networks that use a sim card.
Adding Java: One common complaint of the original iPhone clones was that you couldn't download additional games, applications or software. The i9 is one of the first clones to include Java 2.0 so this is no longer a problem. This phone allows for Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. There's also tons of gaming possibilities as well.
Dual Sim Active: The older clones did have dual sim slots which allowed you to have two plans or phone numbers. Many people use this to have a talk or unlimited minute plan on one sim and a data plan on another, without being bound to a contract. However, with the old clones, you had to switch back and forth between them. This isn't so with the i9 as both can be online at once.
Shake And Tilt: The original P168 did not have shake control or the ability to change the music and video by just shaking the phone. This feature debuted and were very successful on models like the HiPhone and the A88. The i 9 includes this feature, which most people tend to like, although some don't see the need for it.
Up To 8GB Of Memory (Much More Than The Original): The original clones could expand to old up to 2GB. This was and still is sufficient, but for those who feel they need more memory and / or speed, this new one can hold up to 8.
Smaller And Sleeker: Many people have told me that they'd love an iPhone or one of it's clone, but they have found the phone too large, bulky, and heavy. The new "mini" category helped answer this complaint. The 9 is in this category as it weighs only 95 grams and is also skinnier and shorter than the originals.
Nothing has been taken away from the original. This upgrade still allows for WAP web browsing, email and texting, SMS, MMS, Bluetooth, web cam, digital camera, MP3 / MP4, and FM radio, all without a contract. The quality of these phones may surprise you. The speakers are particularly good.
And, the price is still attractive. This model, even with it's upgrades, still falls in the $100 range, with the 8GB models being a bit more.

P168 Dual Sim Phone - Why This Clone is an Excellent Alternative to the IPhone
Friday, November 21, 2008
I admit that I am one of those people who loved the P168 iClone at first sight. I only needed a few minutes of playing and experimenting with the phone to be sold on it, and I didn't care if it had a little Apple logo on not. I know that not every one shared my enthusiasm. For many folks, there is no substitute to the real thing, and I completely understand that.
But, I've found that today's economy, combined with the longevity and continued improvement of these phones, has opened a lot of minds. There's no denying that these phones offer so much for so little cash and many are coming to learn that the quality holds up. In this article, I'll discuss why I still believe these clones are very good alternatives or replacements for the iPhone, especially for those who hate throwing money away.
Dual Sim Slots For Double Duty: One thing that gave the knock offs a foot in the door was that they offered dual sim slots. This allowed business people to have one number for the office and one number for home or it allowed for two different carriers or plans (many people use one plan for talk and one plan for data or web browsing.) Not every one finds this useful though, and the phone will work fine without it.
Bonus Speakers, FM Radio: These clones have bonus speakers - six to be exact - and their sound system and sound quality is extremely good in my opinion. There is also a very decent quality FM radio included.
Everything Else: Other than paying for a high priced network, you can pretty much do everything with the P168 cell that you can do with the original iPhone. You can web browse via WAP, text and send photo messages (via SMS, MMS), email, and listen to MP3s and watch MP4s. You can listen to the radio, remove the battery yourself, take photos (via 1.3 MP camera) and videos, and use and transfer data via Bluetooth, SD card or USB cable. These phones have an incredibly long talk and standby times (the battery lasts forever) and have the finger touch interface that made the iPhone famous and makes these phones incredibly user friendly.
Very Attractive Pricing: Now that these phones have been out for quite a while, the price has come way down. You can generally pick one up for well under $100, and sometimes as low as $50 (you can't even get a decent MP3 player for that price). And, considering the fact that you can use most any GSM carrier of your choosing, that typically equals a substantial savings over the life of the phone. I highly recommend these phones to parents of teenagers or for folks who change phones a lot, as it much less painful to lose a clone than it is to lose a $400 phone. And, it's much less painful to upgrade to the "next big thing" when you only spent less than $100 in the first place. But, I've also found that folks stick with this phone for longer than they think they are going to. It offers a lot and performs well.

Church Sound System
It has become more and more common for churches to have a large enough congregation to fill a huge room. When this happens, it can be difficult for the preacher or minister to be heard in the back of the room. Although some naturally have booming voices that carry well, some do not. For these reason, many like to invest in a church sound system so that the sermon can be heard by everyone in the church with little problem.
The Need for Good Church Sound System
I had never been to a church with the need of such a thing. Most churches I have ever attended was small, and there was no need to have a voice carry that far. When my husband and I attended a wedding recently, the ceremony was in a Catholic church, and the place was quite huge. There was a church sound system that they used, even though only a half of the church was filled. The Father seemed to have a voice that was soothing, but wasn't very well. The sound system certainly made it easier for everyone to understand what he was saying.
It took me a couple of minutes to get used to the way the church sound system sounded. The priest had a microphone headset on his head, but I forgot about it within a few minutes of listening to his sermon. Fortunately, they had a good church sound system. There was no feedback, and it was set at a very comfortable state. I was a bit startled when a song came though and I could not see who was behind that soothing tune, but I guess it makes sense to have some prerecorded music for times when a soloist might not be available. As weddings can happen at any time of the week, it became clearer to me.
Church Sound System - Must Not Complicate the Affair
When looking for a church sound system, there are some things to keep think about. If it is just for voices and the occasional song purposes, something simple will do. You do look for good quality, but it does not have to be a complicated affair. However, if you have live music, like most churches now, you might need something a bit more advanced to handle everything. When the church sound system is used to mike up instruments and singers, you also have to have someone who knows how to play with it. If you don't have anyone in your congregation, surely someone can learn easily enough.

Apple 3G IPhone
Saturday, November 15, 2008
Apple 3G I phone is a state of the art mobile phone recently launched by Apple. It is one of a kind phone. The dimensions of the phone are as follows: Measurements: 4.5 inches (115.5 mm) in height, 2.4 inches (62.1 mm) Width, 0.48 inch (12.3 mm) in depth, 4.7 ounces (133 grams) in weight. The 3G technology allows users to surf the net faster compared to other service providers and also enables reading of mails, and web surfing. The other advantage of iPhone 3G is that you can talk on the iPhone and surf the Internet simultaneously, which was not possible earlier. Another great feature is the GPS system. The GPS system allows you to see the directions, find locations and check the traffic as well.
The phone has multi touch technology and the phone can be controlled by your fingers only. You can scroll through the pictures and zoom in your fingers. iPhone responds to motion using a built-in accelerometer. The phone also contains two internal sensors that change the screen resolutions according to the change in environment. The battery life is also very good with up to 300 hours of standby time. There's no dock included, just a USB power adapter and dock connector. The camera is still a 2 mp one which remains below par. The speaker is also very quiet and thus speaker conversations are almost impossible. The biggest disadvantage of the 3G iphone is that it lacks video recording feature.
The 3G iphone is half the price of the older one. The Black iPhone 3G with 8 GB storage costs $199 and The Black or White iPhone 3G with 16 GB storage costs $299. Although the features in the phone are great and its cheaper too but still most of the customers don't seem to be satisfied with the phone because of the lack of some very basic features like voice dialing and video recording. It is better than the previous models and some basic changes can propel it to be the best among the rest.

3G Iphone Unlocking Process
Thursday, November 13, 2008
iPhone is a new generation of gadget for the young generation. Revolutionary approaches of Apple with their new touch screen technology, has drawn a lot of attention and great market hype.
Multimedia capabilities of iPhone are really impressive (iPod like music library, video including watching TV shows and films, 2.0 megapixel cam etc...)
But Apple corp. is closely associated with AT&T and that is something that is not functioning very well for all the end users. They have just locked your SIM card. For example in todays world many of us travel overseas. Now, your SIM card is locked and basically you can't use your phone in the local network. If this is so, then it would be much more practical to have a practical phone which you will be able to use wherever you happen to be.
Luckily there is a solution for this trouble. There a a variety of unlock sim cards for 3G iphones on the market already. So far those sims are the only way to unlock iphone 3G. We have tested several best sims, as always there are differents between them. The number one of our choise is 3Gsim!
Users were delighted, but Apple didn't fully share this enthusiasm because Apple has an exclusive contract with AT&T. That is the particular reason why you should be careful because if you make a mistake with the chose of your new unlock sim you can easily make yourself a variety of problems including the final one - the complete failure of your precious phone!
Internet was always full of various websites and respective sellers with different services. It ain't easy to find a good service in that plethora of websites and choose a good instead of bad one, and quality and support aren't something that is free.
When you search on internet for various kinds of services or goods, please be careful and evaluate the whole website. Those which have a professionally looking design, which are straight and easy to understand and which are good in keeping your privacy are the one which are the right choice. Always think about safe payment and technical support provided. Be careful and you will easily and safely unlock your 3G iPhone.

How to Buy a Refurbished iPhone

The Refurbished iPhone Price Factor
While you will certainly want to keep the notion of getting a good price when shopping for a refurbished iPhone in the back of your mind as you shop, do not assume that a great price is the only thing you need to consider. Extraordinary prices are certainly enticing when a consumer is checking out all of the options available, but all-time low prices are not necessarily an indication of quality in every instance. Other things in addition to the price factor need to be considered like the condition of the iPhone, whether or not there is any visible damage on the iPhone, whether or not the Phone is blacklisted, and whether or not the seller providing the refurbished iPhone has a reasonable return policy.
Checking the Condition of the Refurbished iPhone
The best way to ensure one is getting a iPhone in good condition is identified in the act of thoroughly examining the phone for any signs of damage and wear or to ask the seller to describe and examine the exterior of the iPhone for scratches, gouges, or clearly identifiable areas of damage. Once the exterior of the refurbished iPhone has been thoroughly assessed, the consumer will want to check out whether or not the iPhone has been damaged through water exposure.
It doesn't matter what type of iPhone a consumer is thinking about buying: a 4gb refurbished iPhone, an 8gb refurbished iPhone or a 16gb iPhone all have built in moisture detectors which will immediately reveal if the phone is water damaged. Of course, you can always question the seller and ask if the item has had water damage in the past, but it is far safer to look into whether or not the refurbished iPhone has been damaged by water physically. Checking for water damage is simple; when looking to buy a refurbished iPhone, you can gently lift the battery out of the iPhone to see if there is a tiny, white colored dot beneath the area where the battery is placed. When checking beneath the refurbished iPhone for the moisture indicator, if the consumer discovers a small, red colored dot or no dot at all, this is a clear indication that something is amiss and that the iPhone has been exposed to moisture.
Ensuring the Refurbished iPhones are Not Blacklisted
When a consumer is shopping for an Apple iPhone 4gb, 8gb, or 16gb, if the iPhone has been locked or blacklisted, it really does not matter whether the phone lacks any water damage or any exterior damage. When a refurbished iPhone is blacklisted, it will fail to work completely. An electronic serial number, otherwise referred to as an ESN, that is in the clear is needed too, or, once again the iPhone will not work. Stolen iPhones are blacklisted and cannot be activated.
If an iPhone is considered locked, this limits the carrier that the buyer of the refurbished iPhone can work with. It is important when one buys a refurbished iPhone that he or she is fully aware if it has a locked status. A locked AT&T iPhone will not work with T-Mobile, even though it is on the GSM network.
Seek Out a Reasonable Return Policy
If you are shopping for a refurbished iPhone, look for a dealer or distributor that supplies a return policy. This is vital whether you are buying a refurbished iPhone in person from a dealer and especially if you are ordering an iPhone from an online seller. Once the item is received, it should be examined, assessed for damage, and tested. It is imperative that the consumer ensure that he or she understands all of the regulations presented in a refurbished iPhone seller's return policy.

Golf GPS Reviews
In countless fields of business, entertainment, health and medicine, Global Positioning System (GPS) is widely utilized. It's no longer new to our sense of hearing...
Mp3 Players – the Sony Nw-a808 and the Creative Zen
The Sony NW-A808 is a very stylish MP3 player and has been hailed as a stylish contender to the popular iPod range of players. It’s not just the looks that this player has though; it also has the specs as well. There are 2gb, 4gb or 8GB of flash memory and it also has video playback capabilities. Something that really makes the NW-A808 stand out against other Sony MP3 players is that it has a healthy battery life and manages to last longer than the iPod nano as well. With this Sony player being smaller than the nano it is even more pocket friendly and therefore has yet another angle that will make it appeal to more and more people. The only thing that may put people off is the price tag, as £120, £150 and £180 seems quite hefty for 2GB, 4GB and 8GB players respectively. Another impressive player to come out was the Creative Zen. This is a credit card sized device that plays music, video and also works as a photo viewer and with the stunning 2.5-inch colour display, photos would look great on the screen that supports up to 16.7 million colours. This player from Creative is the first of their range to support AAC music and unprotected iTunes Plus tracks from the iTunes online store. On top of these formats, the Zen will also play MP3 and WMA tracks as well. All of this means that you can now have up to 4,000 music tracks on this player that you have ripped from CDs via the iTunes software. If music isn’t top of your list, then this is one of the Creative MP3 players that will also play up to 60 hours of music or hold thousands of photos. Also, the player has a slot to hold a SD memory card so you can expand the memory even more. These are just two models of MP3 players out on the market at the moment and they both offer the user great features, so much so, that the deciding factor may well be based on what’s on the outside.
The NW-A808 stands out against other Sony MP3 players is that it has a healthy battery life and very pocket-friendly dimensions. If you would prefer media other than music on your player then the Zen is one of the Creative MP3 players that can hold up to 60 hours of video or thousands of photos. These models are just two out of the many MP3 players that are on offer.

The Apple Macintosh is basically a computer manufacturing company. It is also known for giving the world laptops and world class iPods. It has now ventured into the cell phone market and has introduced revolutionary products to its credit, the latest one being the “Apple iPhone”.
The making of Apple iPhone

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Tube Smart Phone Vs Apple iPhone
With the unveiling of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Tube Smart Phone which is being billed as the iPhone killer, it is time to assess whether the Nokia new kid on the block can stand up to its billing or not and whether the iPhone's days of glory are over. Let's compare the two mobile giants and see how each of them fares.
Method of input
This Nokia comes equipped with a finger touch, stylus pen or a plectrum alternative that allows you to enter text on the touch screen. Iphone supports finger touch only.
Camera
The iPhone with a lame 2 MP camera sans flash is a clear cut loser in this category for Nokia 5800 comes equipped with an auto focus 3.2 MP built in dual flash camera with Carl Zeiss lens that will allow you to click decent pictures. It also allows superior quality VGA video recording. Thus iPhone is outperformed in every quarter in this round and is not at all recommended for serious shutterbugs.
Video recording
The iPhone allows neither video recording nor video calls. In case of Nokia, these features are standard applications.
Music
Both the Apple and the Nokia will score the same points in the music department and both are dream gadgets for music junkies. However Nokia's Comes With Music feature, FM radio and super powerful stereo surround speakers might give it an added edge.
Display
This is where Nokia falls short a little when you pit the 3.2 inch display with the iPhone's 3.5 inch one. But to compensate for this lack, Nokia's resolution is 5 times better than that of the iPhone's.
Battery
While iPhone boasts of a talk time of five to ten hours, audio playback of 24 hours and a standby time of 300 hours, the new Nokia is supposed to command a standby time of a staggering 16.7 days or 400 hours and audio playback of 36 hours, which are way ahead of the iPhone's middling battery performance. The bottom line is that Nokia 5800 has a more powerful battery that gives it an edge over its highly hyped rival.
Cost factor
Being pegged at 220 pounds or 279 euros, the Nokia 5800 deals a severe blow to the future prospects of Apple's costly product which is perched at a rate so steep that it is out of bounds for most. When customers will compare both the handsets and find that Nokia offers most of the sexy features of the iPhone at a price that is significantly less, they will obviously opt for Nokia for the latter also comes with the peace of mind factor and years of good will.
Verdict
After comparing all the features and the price, gadget gurus are of the opinion that the new Nokia 5800 will give the Apple iPhone a very tough competition for it and is a knock out winner in almost 99% of the categories. At the worst, it will be the same as the iPhone, but cheaper by half. That makes it a must buy for gizmo freaks.

iPod Touch and iPod Nano Aiming at College students with its access to DVD to iPod Software
iPod Touch and iPod Nano become much more popular than ever before because of its easy access to Watch DVD on iPod. Recently, Apple starts its promotion in most colleges. After all, the majority of college students hope to use the new iPod touch or iPod nano not only as music players, but also because they can watch iPod movies under the help of a good iPod Movie Converter Software.
As most iPod DVD Ripper can also work as a iPod Touch Video Converter , iPod Nano Video Converter and iPod Classic Video Converter , so the college promotion that started since this early september is at the summit of its power, and it offered rebates of up to $299 on 8GB iPod nanos and all versions of the iPod touch when bought at the same time as a Mac. That's why students flock to it. Since the DVD movies emerge in endlessly, and free dvd to ipod converter is much accessible. They couldn't wait to get an discounted gadget when they envision the high-definition video quality on iPod Touch.
Since Apple refreshed both the iPod touch and iPod nano lines, reducing the price of the former and doubling the storage capacity of the latter, and the new features and a svelte design for the iPod Nano, a cheaper
, upgraded iPod Touch are also unveiled before most college students. They would not hesitate to make the best of their both music collection and DVD movie collections(why not convert DVD to iPod ?) with an easy-to-use DVD to iPod Video Converter.

Top iPhone Complaints
Sunday, November 02, 2008
We have the technology. Behold, the brand new iPhone 3G! In all its wonder, this new piece of equipment has single-handedly revolutionized cell phones now and forever. With more tricks and gimmicks than one could learn to use in a lifetime. It wouldn't surprise me if it could keep you alive underwater!
But like almost every brand new technology these days, there are bound to be bugs involved. And this time, the iPhone 3G contains the whole colony. Widespread around the country (and around the world) is a panic of disappointment in the almighty iPhone and its lack of quality and reliability. Not only is it neither of those, there have also been complaints about almost every aspect of the phone. Just to list a few iPhone complaints:
The iPhone 3G doesn't ring in sleep mode
It can't sync notes except for using a web-based application which slows it down
Pulling up contacts to make a call slows the iPhone down immensely
Very hard to select text; even with an application that lets you copy, cut and paste
Notes are sometimes completely deleted one letter at a time if you hit Backspace
No removable battery - Must send to Apple to replace
But these are just some of the petty bugs that have been exposed about the iPhone. The main problems with the phone are of much greater importance. For example, the battery life is considered to be far below average and inferior to other cell phones that have been on the market for the past 5 years.
The lack of reception in certain areas has also been one of the largest topics of argument in iPhone complaint forums all over the web. One unsatisfied customer (alliphonecomplaints.com) Liza reports, "The AT&T signal bars now indicate the phone receives the highest signal in my home....but the calls invariably drop out. I can't begin to say how frustrating that is!!! I could kick myself for buying this piece of...so I can dump the phone".
The customer service provided by AT&T is said to be horrendous as well. Not to mention over a hundred iPhone complaints but one new customer said, "I had the phone less than 24 hours and AT&T wouldn't replace it" (alliphonecomplaints.com). Originally, there was only one company providing service for the iPhone (AT&T). Can you say 'monopoly'? Of course, now that problem has been fixed but this is just another issue going to show how many problems surround this new piece of technology. I could go on and on for light years about how many different complaints there have been regarding the new iPhone but it all boils down to one important understanding:
Overall, iPhone 3G is more of a toy than a useful tool that can be reliably used for conducting business. So if you love playing games, designing iPhone apps, and surfing the web to find weather stats in 4,901 different time zones, the iPhone 3G is perfect for you. But if you want reliability, great reception everywhere, great customer service and a flexible and competitive service plan, your best bet is to simply go with an alternative.

iPhones on eBay
iPhones, Smartphones, PDA phones, and iPhones on eBay.
You
definitely can buy an Apple iPhone on eBay. However, if you really
want to buy a phone on eBay or any other e-commerce sites out there,
there are important things that you need to be wary of. Generally,
with eBay, it is always caveat emptor-buyer beware. This is even more
true when you are looking to purchase iPhones on eBay. You can get a
great deal buying an iPhone on eBay if and only if you take measures
to see if you are buying from a reliable seller. Because if you
don't, you will be disappointed on how you lose your money BIGTIME!
The
first thing that you need to do is to know what exactly you are
buying. You can do so, by simply asking the seller. Do not instantly
fall for what the title and description say the product is, because
some of these are made to mislead you. Look out for any conflicting
information between the title and the extended description. Say,
there was a listing for an unlocked 16 GB iPhone. The quoted
part is the title. Then the description says that the phone is locked
but then went on to say that they are using it with T-Mobile, so it
is clearly unlocked. The best way to resolve issues like this is to
send the seller an email and ask for clarification. Save the exchange
of emails so that if you are the winning bidder you have a recourse
if the iPhone is not as described.
Before
putting a bid on an iPhone on ebay, it is very important for you to
know first the difference between an unlocked and locked iPhone.
Unlocked means that the firmware has been hacked and you can insert
any chip that will work on networks other than AT&T. The visual
voicemail is an AT&T exclusive feature so this feature will not
be available if you use another network, like T-Mobile. Now, keep
this in mind, the terms "unlocked" and "new, unopened
box" are incompatible. The logic is that the Apple company does
not ship unlocked iPhones, so in order for someone to unlock the
iPhone, he/she must open the box and hook the iPhone up to a
computer. This is hardly unopened. Locked means that the
firmware that Apple shipped the phone with is intact and untouched.
These phones will only activate and work on the AT&T network. A
locked iPhone has no issues or troubles with any firmware upgrades
but an unlocked iPhone must be careful when updating to be sure they
do not re-lock the iPhone.
Know if
the iPhone is refurbished, new, or used before buying an iPhone on
eBay. Refurbished means that an iPhone has been repaired or has taken
from not working properly to a like new state, hopefully by Apple.
Usually refurbished iPhones are inexpensive. An ethical seller will
clearly state that the iPhone is a refurbished item. Less scrupulous
sellers may not disclose this. To be sure, ask.
On
eBay, you will see phones called A88, iPhone, PDA, cell phone...
These are not Apple iPhones, they are just iPhone look alike. Make
sure that the manufacturer of any iPhone you purchase is Apple and
not CECT. Be always alerted to the fact that there are phones that
may look like the iPhone but they are not from Apple.
Lastly,
make sure that you are aware of the sellers return policies and only
pay through PayPal using a credit card or pay directly with a credit
card. It's a no no to pay in cash, checks, through Western Union or
other wire transfers and money orders. This is to protect you from
paying for a fraudulent item and let's you have recourse through your
credit card company or PayPal. Buyers/sellers who do not take credit
cards or PayPal are questionable so once again remember caveat
emptor, buyer beware.
An
educated consumer stands the best chance of getting a good deal.
Before you buy iPhones on eBay do a little research to be sure you
are getting exactly what you are looking for. As an eBayer
, try to
not forget all the points that I've made here while eBay tries to
make their venue a safe place to purchase items.

Top 10 Used iPhone Buying Tips - We Cover 16g, 8gb and 4gb Used iPhones
Saturday, November 01, 2008
Used iPhone Tip #1: Seek Out Refund Options
Long before you put your money into a used iPhone for sale; make certain the provider of the Phone has a decent return policy, and one that preferably supplies you with a cash back option. Upon the receipt of the used iPhone, inspect the item carefully for exterior damage and interior water damage, and then test the item to make sure it works. If it fails to work, make sure you follow the guidelines set in the used iPhone return policy carefully; some providers of used Apple iPhone 4g, 8gb, and 16gb products place a strict time limit on the time that the consumer has to return the item for cash back or exchange.
Tip #2: Be Selective About Your Used iPhone Purchase
If this is your very first time investing in an iPhone, familiarize yourself with the various features that accompany the iPhone; this way, when you see all the offers out there, you will be able to know precisely what it is you are getting for your money. If you are not new to the iPhone buying experience and you are interested in upgrading your old Apple iPhone 4gb device of any other iPhone for something with more features and options, again familiarity with Apple iPhone offerings is needed. When a consumer knows what is currently available on the market, they are in a better position when it comes time to make their buying decisions.
Tip #3: Buy a Used iPhone with the Appropriate Carrier
Not all iPhones work with every single carrier and this is probably one of the biggest reasons for having to return these phones back to the sellers. The buyer of a used iPhone must seek out a quality phone which is completely compatible with the consumer's preferred cell phone provider.
Tip #4: Verify FCC Compliancy of Used iPhones Since the year 2005
The Federal Communication Commission has implemented a regulation whereby all mobile phone devices must be GPS enabled. The reason for such a regulation is simple; when an emergency arises and the cell phone user dials 911 assistance, if the device is GPS enabled the individual placing the emergency call can be located. If, by chance, a consumer gets a used iPhone that is not GPS enabled, then the item will not work. Therefore, it is best if the consumer questions whether or not the used iPhone in question is FCC complaint and GPS enabled before paying for the device.
Tip #5 Buy a used iPhone with a Verifiable ESN
All cell phones, including used iPhones, come with an electronic serial number. This number is needed in order to activate the phone that is purchased. If the ESN number is one that has been listed as stolen or lost, the used iPhone will not activate when the consumer goes to set up service. If shopping for used iPhones online, be sure to look and see if the seller of the device willingly offers the ESN number of the product they are selling. With an ESN number you can instantly verify whether or not the phone can be easily activated and if the phone is blacklisted.
Tip #6: Verify the Used iPhone Seller's Experience
When buying a used iPhone it is really like buying any other product: you are going to want to know as much about the used iPhone seller's reputation as you can. Check out the iPhone seller's experience by reviewing any feedback that might be presented, by examining what the used iPhone seller stocks, and by asking the seller a lot of questions. The better a consumer gets to know who they are interacting with, the smoother the used iPhone buying transaction will be. If possible, make sure that the seller's primary business focus is on selling used cell phones so that you can rest assured in knowing that the seller specializes in the product that interests you.
Tip #7: When Buying From Online Auctions Know the Seller
If you are electing to buy used iPhones from an online auction, you will find that it is easier to identify a quality seller than you might first imagine. When seeking an auction seller of a 4gb used iPhone, an 8gb used iPhone or a 16gb used iPhone make sure you take a couple of minutes to examine the feedback supplied by other buyers. Feedback will reveal to you how timely the seller responds to questions, how fast the item was shipped and received, and if the seller is reasonable to work with.
Tip #8: Know the Details
It is interesting to note that mostly everything that a buyer has to know about used iPhones is often neatly spelled out in the used iPhone's product description. Yet, so many used iPhone buyers are not fully aware of what they are getting into when they place their order. It is very important to remember that images can be deceiving, that all pictures are not necessarily an exact image of the item being sold, and that the finer details are supplied via product descriptions. If the description one gets about a used iPhone is terse or short, then it is time to ask the seller questions before buying.
Tip #9: Look For Signals that Suggest Poor Quality
When a used iPhone seller states in an iPhone description that the item is in good condition, but then later tells the potential buyer that the used iPhone is for sale in its present condition, "as is," this is a seller's secret code for "the buyer gets the used iPhone, warts and all, with no returns or guarantees." This means that the seller probably suspects or fully knows that there is an issue with the phone in question, or the seller suspects that something will go wrong with the phone in the near future. Rather than dealing with returns, guarantees, exchanges and refunds, the seller uses the terms "as is" to protect him or herself. Thus, when seeing a used iPhone for sale as is, it is better to seek out a different offer.
Tip #10: Be an Informed Consumer
Getting a used iPhone can be less of a hassle if the consumer informs him or herself about shipping costs, shipping time frames, applicable tax, and any additional fees that might be associated with the used iPhone purchase. The more a consumer knows about the seller, the iPhone, the seller's policies, the used iPhone features, compatible carriers, and what to expect, the better the overall buying experience will be.
